Junkyard Tour in Moss Landing - 11/29/02 From Mira B/S: "Today was a beautiful FIAT day in California. I met Dan Loomis along Highway 1. The sun was shining and pampas grass was blooming with a little fog steaming off the sea. We went about 70 miles south through Santa Cruz to meet Keith where he was trailer camping in Capitola. There were lots of cops out for some reason so we kept speeds down to the limit. We visited a series of junkyards and found a few cars and a few parts. We had a leisurely (it took a half hour to get the first beer) lunch at a Mexican reastaurant. We then returned back to base in Keith's truck. Like an idiot I left some of my treasured junk in his truck. Don't Ebay my junk Keith! Driving home through Santa Cruz I spotted a blue Multipla coming the other way, piloted of course by the one and only Chris Obert. We honked and waved. The drive home up the coast was nice too, excepting a little traffic in Half Moon Bay. All in all a nice post Thanksgiving day." -Pierre | |
